Economy Plating in Balch Springs, Texas. Give them a call and ask some questions, I had a great experience with these guys. I did deliver them and pick them up.

You're willing to ship so if you don't find anything close you might want to look into Advanced Plating in Tenn. They have been involved with lots of very high end builds. Of course not inexpensive but the work speaks for itself.

I'm going to have to at least call Advanced for a rough idea. BUT, there's always a but. They did the chrome on a friends 55 Caddy and it was quite expensive. I just got in 4 eyebrows for my 61 last night. I bought them off of EBay. The add said rechromed NOS. they said the original chrome was bad and if you look at a lot of the NOS stuff available the chrome is bad. They were perfect. I paid a little less for them than a normal quality repeating would be.

I have a couple of cards from platers that show up at events. They always have a grill or something showing one side seemingly impossible to restore and the other half looking way better than new. Kinda makes me question if they didn't plate it and then dip the bad end in acid to make it look like that.

WHAT NCRS book? NCRS doesn't endorse ANY product or supplier/vendor. Anybody can pay to advertise in the NCRS publications (the "Restorer" or the "Driveline"), but advertising doesn't constitute an NCRS endorsement.

All that says to me is 'We have enough business that we can raise the price till it hurts'. Kinda like hotels doubling or trippling their rates when big events are on hand such as a NASCAR race. I have no problem paying for what I want but I do have a problem getting ripped off, therefore no more live races for me. I do remember calling them when I built my GTO. They wanted $375 per head light bezel to replate them. Then on the other hand I paid $500 to get the console in my goat replated and it looks like SS£¥t.

Beyond the recommendations above - define what ya want; $$$how or good job for $?
You being in Maryland check out with Dick at VA Vette's He did mine and the $ for quality exceeded my expectation. Dent's can be worked if core good...

I just checked out VA Vetted. Their pricing is very attractive. I may give them a try. Thanks for posting.

I live in MD also and drove up to Phildelphia and had Jerry Martin of Charger Metals do them. In 2003 he charged me $250 a bumper which included straightening and wave removal. Excellent work. Turnaround was about 5 weeks for about 12 items.

2023 Restomod of the Year finalist
I mailed in my C2 Corvette Rear Bumpers to Paragon Corvettes in Michigan to be Re-Chromed a few years back. They did a great job of Re-Chroming the Bumpers and only a 12-14 week turnaround time.
