I know there’s a lot of Nomad fans on this forum so I thought I would post some progress pictures of my 57 nomad that I bought about 10 months ago and then took it all apart and I’m doing a frame off
rotisserie hot rod restoration I’m installing the glass today and it’s really starting to look like something now. It is black with the red interior.
What’s funny is a 57 nomad is rarer than a 63 split window coupe. They only made a little over 6000 57 Nomads and only around 10,000 split windows. I thought the split window coupe parts were hard to find. They don’t make a lot of reproduction stuff for nomads, when there’s relatively only a small market. I always pick the hard ones to restore.
Every great car collection needs a nomad and the vette! Nice car! I have been surprised that at a lot of the car shows how many guys have both. There’s lot more of us that are crazy out there. LOL how many more have both? And what years do you have?

My first car was a 57 Chevy two-door hardtop that I bought from my neighbor for $50 when I was 13 years old. Then I bought my first 57 nomad when I was 16 for $150. Shortly after that I found another 57 nomad that was in mint condition that I paid the old woman $100 for it! Where did those days go.
