This has been such a wonderful thread to read, to look at pictures, and to imagine how it all went together. Steve, I am super impressed by the quality of your workmanship (massive understatement). I am also very excited at the postive helpfulness of others, the really nice constructive energy among every one who posted in your thread (the folks on the C7/C8 part of this forum could get a lesson in how to relate in a courteous and helpful manner).

Truly one of the very best threads I have ever read. The pictures were stupendous. I re-built a ‘56 Chevy Bel Air barn find and know 1/10th of what you went through. Amazing how many parts looks either identical or close.

Fantastic thread Steve. This thread was really fun to read and look at. I know you are busy enjoying driving your car.

THANK YOU!

I am on my second wife and current wife sounds just like your wife! Although not necessarily totally involved, she gets our passion. She is my biggest cheerleader and constantly says "Bill, just get it done cause I want you to take me out to diner at the Oasis (fine Austin, Tx establishment) in it". First wife's sickness was other men while mine was working and corvettes. First one went from 115lbs to maybe 200lbs; but, I currently am retired and have a beautiful wife and several corvettes. Enjoyed your thread and happy for you!. Oh, I love the corvette sickness like all of us!
