Dan, didn't you have "327" emblems on the hood before?
It's a truly stunning car no doubt!

WOW! From one red lover to another..... wow! Hopefully in a few weeks mine will look like that. We've been debating which red for Rally Red. Do you know the manufacturer of your Victory Red (PPG, Sikkens, ? Love the car.

Dan, don’t sell it. After all that work, planning, headaches, and sorting out I can’t imagine letting her go.

I can only wish that my 64 looked that awesome. Very, very, beautiful.

I've been debating for a couple days whether to ask this question or not as I didn't want to cause an uproar, but curiosity got the best of me so here goes.
Given that you said this car was built in 2012, which looks fantastic and is obviously a high end quality built car, why did it need a new paint job after only 6 years?

Cag.... Love the color and I'll be picking the red very soon. My painter sent me the samples below. Torch beside Victory, yours looks much more like Corvette Torch Red. No trying to say you don't know what you have, 'cause I love it. 'Course we're dealing with multiple computer images.

I have put over 16,000 miles on the Corvette and over the years with the driving I have gotten multiple stone chips and road rash on the front end. You could argue that I could touch up the paint for that - however, the decision was based on issues with my aftermarket stinger hood.
The hood had some internal air bubbles that started to show through and over the years some stress cracking and time in the Florida sun started to slightly warp the fiberglass causing it to have gap issues.
The other reason is that I have become a bit OCD - especially when I compare this project with my 55 Nomad that was an over the top build that was on TV and in magazines.

When we had chosen the color, it was hard for me to decide from a paint chip so I had larger 12x12 panel spray outs done to make 100% sure before moving forward.

Prob as close as you can get with modern materials - right down to the red oxide sealer coat. The color might not be for everybody though so fair warning. It has an orange cast and is almost a 'tomato' red...
