My Wife Has Eyes For Another...
I am 6 foot 4 and I told my wife about a thread on here mentioning C2s have more room than a C1. She replied that she likes the C2s much more than C1s!
Now mind you, my C1 is in a thousand pieces waiting to be bolted back on to the new frame. I’m not sure if I am motivated or demotivated by that statement.

Yeah, that was one of my considerations when buying my C2, i was all set on buying my girlfriends dads red with white cove, black interior 58, then i sat in it... i am 6-0, and it felt cramped to me.

You guys are slipping - I'm so dissapointed!
1 - You have been given the keys to grab a C2! The answer is? Wait for it . . Go buy one now before she changes her mind!
2 - Pics of wife?
And yes, I have spent time in a C1, yes, cool as hell, but tight inside. C2s are in fact roomier. I am 6'2" and 250#.

2023 C2 of the Year Finalist - Unmodified
St. Jude Donor '20-'21-'22-'23-'24
My 40+ year dream to own a ‘60-‘62 Corvette changed to a mid year 30 seconds after I sat in a C1 for the first time.

Even at 6'4" I was always a die hard C1 guy and our latest C1 was a tiny bit roomier 1962 if you like one less sardine in a can. After deciding I had had enough I sold the '62 last summer after selling our '54 and '57, and my wife said "We need something!" Thinking my vintage Corvette days were done, after reading posts from other who said the C2's have more head and leg room, I went to GM Downunder and climbed in a '67 Coupe and was pleasantly surprised. That trip ended up costing me some money, but having a C2 now with factory air restored by Dom made it all worth while.
This is me with Mike Brewer from the show "Wheeler Dealer" standing next to our (now gone) 1962. You can see I'm a "dimensionally challenged" person. I have since lost some weight.
This is more like it:

You think a '58 is cramped, try a '57. I am 6' also and can make a '58 work, but a '57, no way.

Unless you're not telling us your wife said "finish your C1 and sell it to buy a C2" I'm trying to figure out why you haven't started a WTB thread on the C1 & C2 Corvettes For Sale/Wanted Forum.

Simple solution: Top never up!
I'm 6'3", and the only time the top is up on my '61 is when it's parked in the garage, to prevent shrinkage!

Friend of mine who is 6ft 2in can only drive his 53 with top off, doors are shorter and do not open as wide either . At 6 ft. its the only way to get in it and drive the 53.
But A C2- BB is way to go. 66racer
