I see three things wrong with the engine bay alone. Looks like a very nice car, but it's not perfect, if I can find things wrong just from the pictures.

There are only so many split windows.....given that some percentage were totaled or rusted out completely or were exported or......not many as there was. Everyone that wants one just needs to step up with some more cash!

Its not a bubble its an upward arc. My family and some friends said I was nuts for spending all my affable cash I could scrounge back in 89 when I bought mine.

Yes....my statement was meant to be ironic; I simply don't see these cars backing off price-wise unless the bottom goes out of the whole collector car market..

So a less desirable color, white, non-F/I car brought more money than a red fuelie I must be missing something.

Obviously he market started collapsing right after the white one was sold/bought.

I don't know about the red car, but the white one was owned by John Stalupi who is a well known collector. His restorations aren't done to NCRS specs, but "over restored". Anyway, because of his name in the collector circles, his cars get top bids.

We should all thank John for his contribution to our hobby.

Could it be that the regulars that attend the B/J Auctions aren't as concerned with correctness as their pockets are so deep it really doesn't matter? It seems it's more about I like it, I want it so I'm buying it.
