Default Vintage Torq Thrust Wheel Sizes

Ok, so, I Know they made 15x6 and 15x7 Torq thrust "D" crows foot wheels for corvettes back in the day but did they make 15x8 or 15x10 sizes too? I'm thinking of using these wheels if they make wider ones for the rear. ( if I can find some) I'm using offset trailing arms and 1" wider rear quarters on my 67' so I thinking 15x8 might be perfect depending on the back spacing. Would like to try and keep the vintage feel and not real sure I like the look of 17" tires for the look I'm going for.

I have 15X7 TT on my 65, with a 235/60 R15 on the rear, if I had offset trailing arms I could have gone with a 245, the 235's just clear the parking brake bracket. I think a 15X8 would fit as long as you don't go too crazy with the tire size.

Dennis,
I've been doing that but so far no Vintage "D" wheels, just the later remakes...at least so far. I have found a pair of vintage 15x8.5 wheels in Florida but I'm still waiting for definitive pictures to make sure they match the fronts. the guy has 15x10's also...
Thanks, Chris

Yes, American Racing did indeed make the TT D wheels in 8.5 AND 10 inch widths. I have owned both sizes. They ARE out there but are becoming increasingly difficult to find. REAL TT D wheels have a reinforcing rib on the back side of each spoke. Good luck with your search. Patience and persistence will pay off.

What Rex said but backspace may be an issue. I'm not sure you are going to be able to find "Ds" in a backspace you can use. I do believe you can order TTIIs in 15' sizes with custom backspace. You could get them with the gray spokes and you could use a mild scuff pad on the hoop for a vintage look. I know that would be settling but just trying to put an alternative out there if you can't find what you're looking for.

I have 7" and 8" because Monterey does NOT allow 8"......
