C2 of the Year Finalist - Modified 2020

Default iPhone Corvette mount

I just moved up from an iPhone5 to a iPhone8 Plus. It's bigger and that has created a problem. My #5 would slide into the air slot on the right side of the dash center section on my '67. The new #8 will not. All my music is on the phone. Guys, show me what you are using. Anything unusual? I'm aware of the windshield suction mounts as a last resort. TIA Dennis

I use this:

Amazon Amazon

Lets me see the phone when using it as a GPS, keeps it out of the way, its sits on the speaker grille with no harm or affect on the music and doesn't budge. Holds any size phone...

Frankie, that has some appeal. By what means do you connect to your radio? Dennis

Dennis,

I use this to connect to my non Bluetooth stereo.
Using the aux in. It is nice. I can pause, forward, backward and answer my phone.

John, that's a great device. I do have a wireless remote for controlling the head unit in the glove box. It has the wired connection for the iPhone playing my music. I'm now thinking about running that connection up through the defrost area. Dennis

I ran mine through the right radio side cover.

It comes with a magnetic base with double sided tape.

That looks like a nice set up as long as it doesn't mar the speaker grill. Is it easily removable or do you have to use two sided tape to hold it in place?

No tape, the piece is weighted and with the phone in it; it doesn't move at all...
It hasn't marred the speaker grill yet and I've used it for 3 years now....no damage to anything...
