How do you know when is the right time to sell
My sound like a silly question but is there a way to find out when is the right time to sell a C2 Corvette? I am thinking of posting my C2 for sale but I didn't want to list it in a down market.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

Is yours a 1966 or 1967 coupe? That's what I'm looking for. If yes, let me know.

When you like the amount of money you're getting more than you do the car.

1. When you are tired of the car and it doesn't bring you joy anymore. Take it out and drive it one more time to make sure.
2. When you really need the money.
3. Spring or summer season is the best market.

Take very detailed pics of everything, the shiny bits & interior, the VIN, & trim tag, birdcage condition, underbody, frame, block number with cast date and stamp pad, and ask what you want, the right buyer will find you and appreciate the honesty in your detailed photos of a true corvette enthusiast!

When someone asks for your "I don't want to sell it price". Be careful and aggressive with that figure. I have sold two cars for what I thought was ridiculous money...and it was. But the buyer wanted it more than I wanted to keep it for that price. Good luck.

I did same thing with my 65 when I asked almost twice what market was. First guy who looked at it bought it, no questions asked! I told my wife I wanted to “test the market”. I truly was shocked, but kinda sorta needed the money after our first child was born. Years later, my wife tried numerous times to buy it back (from yet another owner) to no avail. I’ve been sorry ever since I sold it.

Time to sell is when you no longer enjoy looking at it or driving it ,or maybe when you NEED the money. Like has been said, take it for one more ride before making the decision.

Didn't buy R66 until I retired even though we had 3 Camaros. Now considering selling the two remaining Camaros as they hardly ever get driven and could spend the money on the Corvette.
Then again, why give up anything you love just because you don't give it the attention you used to. Kinda like a wife. Do you still love it/her? I'll keep the wife and my two other loves even if it is only to look at them.
Your money needs may dictate what you do. At this time, I am lucky.

Thanks Guys. I guess I will wait to get my car to my new garage I am building then see what I want to do. I have a 17 Z06 and a 63 convertible. Being just a different animal to drive, you have to really be alert and I think that makes me more nervous driving the car. If that makes any sense.

Taking a different approach to answer your question than most of the other suggestions you've received here, its probably a good time now to sell, since your car is a convertible, and convertibles sell in the summer time. In fact, for your '63, its probable a good time to sell anytime, except the dead of winter, right after the holidays, and up until the early spring. At the beginning of spring, the Corvette Fever starts up again, and guys again who wanted one before the holidays, and for whatever reason, didn't get one, will start looking more aggressively.

For example, I would not try to sell a non- AC dark coupe in central Florida in the middle of summer.
