I spent the last few weeks getting the car ready for paint. Hopefully going into the shop 1st week of 2019.
While the car is gone I will be busy polishing the stainless, stapling the fuzzes on, getting things rechromed and much more.
I repaired the right door fiberglass and added sunvisors.
Joe

Well, I always have wanted a 57, but I guess I’m just too darn big to fit in a C1!

Not a thing....I have been moving items around in the surgical suite (where transformations occur) for the new mill and lathe. Moving some items to the adjacent garage....I pick them up next Monday, 1/7, and have a rigging company coming to set them in place. I could have rented some equipment to move them but that was 1/2 the price of the riggers. This will be much easier to do....

I didn't do anything with any of mine. But I did checkout a couple of C2s pre BJ Scottsdale. My wife tagged along so we are enjoying some R&R in the desert

No snow since Thanksgiving; we are 6 inches below normal here in central Ohio. None in the 10 day forecast either Makes for great day for a ride!

Beautiful spring sunny day here in central Ohio with the roads dry and salt free. A great day for a ride. However, I just got out of the hospital with a 3 day bout with vertigo and I am grounded

Default Retirement

Bolt on knock offs and modded 350 with a 5 speed Tremac tranny and A/C
First retired in 2000 and flunked retirement two times. Finally did retire a few years ago. Never run out of things to do between two Corvettes, starting a Corvette club in 2000 now has over 100 members. We just did a little day trip to a couple of museums with fredi's ice cream. We also boat. enjoy our four grandkids and took our first cruise a few weeks ago. We will do that again.
I also sold my NCRS 65 Duntov award vette and bought another quasi resto-mod 65 Goldwood Yellow with a 5 speed, power steering, leather with headrests, AC, aftermarket stereo, side pipes and on and on. We are doing this one our way. Car needs a lot of TLC which is a lot more than I expected. Been after it quite a lot the last month. At Least another month yet.
Soo no time for work

I don't even know what day it is, or the date for that matter! Retired 5 years ago on Feb. 28. Sold the business and have been more busy than when I owned the business.

Joined the Golf Channel Tour, race a small car and work on my Vette.

Had a carb problem warming up the Vette to adjust the valves this morning. I have decided to get a chrome carb. Making up my mind as to which one I want.

I started to make my 67 vert driveable on Sept 13, 2018. It had been sitting for 31 years in the air conditioned garage. I built a detached garage out back to house all the toys and trailer. The car is out there now.

I now have a fresh rebuilt engine, trans, rear end, new gas tank, all new bushings in the rear susp, new wheel bearings, a VintageAir. ( easy install if you take the fan off the unit and then put the hoses on and then reinstall the fan motor, ) coolant hoses, new gauges ect. The receipt file is almost 2 inches think!! Hopefully I'll get it on the road soon. Only been 6 months.

Went over my 67 with detail spray for an annual old-car cruise this weekend.

Picked up my refurbed windshield frame from Glassworks Thursday. Nice work but a long time (dropped it there on January 11). I also didn't get my posts back. Mine had been repaired with the steel tabs at some point by the previous owner. The posts received on the rebuilt windshield frame were unrepaired. Not sure whether that is a good thing or not. They indicated that the posts must have been miss-marked? In any event it is back home and I will put it back on the car. The frame, stainless, and glass all look perfect. They are nice folks there. I decided to take it there and pick it up (240 miles each way) because I didn't think it would survive shipping intact or undamaged.

Retired March 30, 2018. So far not hurting for something to do. Between Vette, Golf and life I am busy.

Finished up a PW install on the 65 coupe. Anyone who says it is an easy upgrade had never done one. imo
Not much room for error in making holes in your doors, door jam, console and floor. Very stressful. However, worth the effort.

Just got home from Arizona. It's trying to be spring here in Oregon. Had a couple of nice days so I got the Mini and 911 off the jack stands and on the battery charger. Took them both out for a 20 mile drive. They are both so quick, note I didn't say fast, and a ball to drive, the Porsche is 9:1 power to weight so a little fast.

The Hemi/Vette is still up on the 4 post lift. Today I'm going to raise the rear axle and spin a wheel to determine what rear-end ratio is in the 8.75" chrysler rear axle. Sun is suppose to come out this afternoon before we begin seven days of rain so I thought I might line the three of them up in front of the house and take some pictures.

Soft cloth soaked in kerosene takes that off in a jiffy, then wash off with warm soapy water - no paint damage - GV

PS: this grocery getter was blanketed in tree sap after the wife parked it under a Norfolk Pine whilst shopping one day.

Found my username and got a new PW,,, seems I haven't visited this site in 5years!!! Put a charger on the 68 so I can move it to get to the 56...
IIRC, I was installing the gas tank and line, can't remember what stopped the progress, so I'll climb back under it and try to continue the project.... Haven't been to Carlisle, car shows, etc for some time...

Tried to post this a couple of days ago but it didn’t go through. Got the ‘66 out and did a little bit of work on it and took our #2 pup for a ride. Wish I could post the video of the wind blowing though his fur!! 👹
