1958 Corvette type of fuel?
hello, please I have purchased 1958 Corvette. What type of fuel I should use? Someone told me premium, but do I have to add any additive like lead? The engine is 283 V8. Thanks for any response

I would try 89 and see how it runs If it doesn’t ping under load your good to go. And don’t put anything that isnt gas into the tank

The statement of running the highest octane you can with conditioner will net you nothing but wasted money and less performance. To each his own......

paraffins which are lower octane. But you are correct, run the lowest octane that doesn't knock in your engine. Anything higher is wasted
money. Octane rating has nothing to do with energy, it is just a measure of the resistance to pre-ignition or knocking
