Walking around a not crowded, wet Indy Bloomington Gold today and spotted this truly ugly car:
Almost kept walking then thought, that car looks familiar - sure enough, it was the long lost 1960 Cunningham Le Mans car #1. There were a lot of signs around and this person was taping feature callouts to the car:
The car was drawing a crowd but these guys put up a big banner:
And drew even more interested spectators:
I certainly hope it is going to be restored soon, it will be a big job:

Whoa now ! This car has a great story behind it, one of both intrigue and lost titles ! Thanks for posting the photos, I have never seen the weird modifications of the dash and the rear end.

If that car ever gets restored, it should be worth a few more $$ just for the crazy litigation history on top of the race history.

so true, and whomever turned it into a clown car should be strung up.

I don't see anything on that car that looks like a 1960 Corvette. Hood, front end, dash, rear end, doors.
Did somebody drop part of a '55 body and '57 on a 1960 frame ? How could it even be called a B-C 1960 Lemans car?
