You can use aluminum foil to protect items not being removed. It can be crimped around items without using tape- easy on - easy off.

Was doing a search on Engine Compartment paint for the '66. Quick question on the fan shroud, does it paint the same semi-flat black?

havent read the whole thread but if you use multiple light coats youll get a more uniform look.
