Bloomington 1979. Corvette News had a big article on the car in their Feb/Mar 1980 issue and Vette Vues had it on the cover for their Vol.8 no.2 issue.

That car had less than 15K miles on it when you got it? Might of had 12K when I tried to get it.
I just found a picture of the speedo and it shows 43,xxx miles when at the Bloomington event.

That was THE HOTTEST weather ever for the '88 Bloomington.
My 67 is somewhere in the panoramic, still have my Earthquake 88 Tee shirt too, but is has shrunk quite a bit

I definitely remember that day. I was judging. One of the girls from the tab room was bringing lemonade to all the judges all day.

I could barely see my red 63 cp. in a rear row. Mike and Bob J. were two of the judges that judged my car that day.
I can't remember who the other judge was. That was a thrill to get a gold that day. And Yes it was HOT.

Original owner Jerry DeVries with one of the nicest totally UNrestored 64's anywhere at the 1978 event. Incredible original paint and interior and untouched everything. I'm sure several folks remember Jerry and his incredible car. Thanks to Bob Jorjorian for the picture.

I know Dad / I took video of the L88s coming from the Bone Student Center to the Fairgrounds in '88. I put the footage on CD a few years back and am trying to locate. Amazing that one of the Grand Sport (white convertible, can't recall the number) was actually DRIVEN (novel idea ) to the fairgrounds as well. Almost every L88 'lit 'em up' on the way in to the fairgrounds, amazing for a boy of 14 to witness.

Yes, that was a segment of the Bloomington event that a lotta guys miss. I wonder if we could get Burroughs to include that in the 2019 event?

Jim Pervis had the car in 1990. In time we all discovered it was the old PENSKE Roadster GS-001 shown here.

Yup, this car, 30837X100001. (before restoration) Note aluminum door hinge to save weight.

It was in 1982 NOT 92 as I stated in the picture post. Fat finger.

Bill Stephenson was the official BG shirt vender but don't know the name of the guy with the tee shirt tent where the contest was held.

Just got this pic from Bob Jorjorian. I don't remember the year. Robert Barrett receiving his Gold cert. From left, Jorjorian, Hanson, Barrett and Bob Lejewski. RIP Bob L.
