My selling price is the same as it's been for the last 40 years - double what its worth.

How cool is it to see a car coming back from dead?!
A lot of hours going into it to get it this point, a lot more to go to get it finished, but you are on the downhill now. Way to go!!

You'll be driving her before you know it now. Love the perseverance...it will certainly be worth the wait and all the hard work. Good for you!!

The restoration, or the engine?
Here's a picture of the restoration start, think it's dated.

Starting the engine is a ways off. It's only a 43 year old, new CE replacement short block. Never started. Long story.

Advice from an appraiser at the Roadshow;

If you finally decide to sell your prized beauty, then all you have left is the money to look at.
That soon evaporates very quickly, then you have nothing to look at!

My wife and daughter know where the title and keys are, and who to call to sell it after I pass but not before.

Nice work and I am sure that corvette is glad you didnt sell her.

Ours has been in the wife's family since new. Lightning bolts would rain down from heaven if we ever sold it!

People on forums tell me to sell my car all the time when I’m n a financial pinch - which seems to be all to common due to my disease racking up tens of thousands in costs per year. But two things. I built the car. Every bolt. Every washer.

And secnd, I will sell it when things become desperate. But not yet.
