FYI, if your using the stock upper A arms, you'll have to remove the water pump and relocate the two heater hose lines.

I had replied in your other thread and I am converting my 64 over to disks as well. My trailing arms were ok,(maybe) but I'd rather just get new everything & not worry, so I went thru VanSteel & did the full conversion thru them. Dual M/C, all new lines, frt & rr disks, along with the offset trailing arms that allow for a wider rear tire.

This is typically how we modify the WP lines, my moving them. I had a machine shop do both the welding and tapping for the new fittings. Also tapped it for a water line, see yellow fitting.

also today i ordered a digital gauge cluster and wilwood front brake kit with master cylinder and everything to use the new front disc with the original drums in the rear. I plan on keeping the original wheels that are on the car but probably changing out the tires. Im still waiting on a tilt wheel steering column and adapter for the original steering wheel. steeroids rack should be here tomorrow so i can get that installed while the engine bay is clear. she is coming together pretty quickly. i believe that i have all of the parts that ill need. Just have to get the headers made so i can tie them into the sidepipes.

In post 27 you showed a pic of the new Van Steel trailing arms and they have disk, so you will have disc's out back, right? Also, you ordered the whole enchilada from them so you don't need anything from Wilwood.

You should check to see if your wheels will clear the calipers - I would be surprised if they did.

post 27 is another member showing his rear disc brakes. Those aren’t mine as I don’t plan on changing the rear brakes

you would be well served to look up daz_au build thread by looking at his profile. It is a sort of bible for ls/c2 swaps.

That was my post, and you had me worried, so I checked the rear, by placing the Right Rear caliper on the passenger side trailing arm & it has over 1/4" clearance to the bolt on reproduction 64 Corvette America rim.

I need to confirm clearances on the front as well...

So I just assembled the fronts & confirmed they do fit as well. Very close as shown in the pics, less than 1/8", and I think i will clearance the corner of the caliper a touch, it is not in a critical strength area, and being a lifelong automotive engineer dealing in custom builds, it'll be fine...

I used the Green Marker to show where it got close, looks like i can just round off the corners here.

Thats nice to know. Now, do you know how much, if any, your offset changed? It's not uncommon for conversions to move the wheel outboard a bit, but you'll probably be fine there too.

Just the arm shape is different, the spindle doesn't move in or out, as a wider tire would hit the stock trailing arm before it would contact the wheelhouse inner. Do a search, it's widely discussed what will fit after.
