Ahhh, yes I have heard that discussed, i think it is very minor, 1/4"-3/8" so when i get around to putting them on, I will get a.measure on that. I am sticking with the 205-75R15 so it should not cause any issues.
Ok enough thread hijacking here already!

Here is my latest issue. i am installing the TKO 5 speed from silver sport and they sent me a complete hydraulic clutch actuator system. i have mounted the master cylinder but my issue is connecting the clutch pedal. this adjustment rod that connect to the actual pedal is 6 inches long. from what we are being this is going to bring the clutch out way to far. im trying to see what options i have. i have a call into SST to see if they have a shorter one.

Just a heads up, If you go do a search & read up on some of the issues people have had with flexing of the firewall when they put a hydraulic clutch in. You may want to reinforce the area while its easy & everyting is out of the engine bay.

All has been well documented on this site, also as mentioned there is a LS Swap Book available, it's free online or should I say you can read it free.... It has everything documented for a C2 LS3 swap.

Default day 4

today we had the engine in and out getting everything lined up. had to get new motor mounts with the old school 3 bolt style to use the dirty dingo sliders. we have the engine and transmission in place. it was a tight fit but i believe everything is going to work just fine. did some shaving on the alt. mount to clear the front a arm. the power steering pulley still isn't going to clear so ill have to find an alternative size pulley i suppose. also the heater hoses on the water pump are hitting so ill have to drill out some new outlets to take care of that. the shorter clutch pushrod will be here tomorrow so i can wrap that up and the rack should also come in this week. it sure does look good sitting down in the coupe!

You might want to look into the March LS tight fitting front drive belt system. AC, PS and Alt. all fit nice and tight against motor....

Today we sent the water pump out to be drilled on the top to clear the a arm as many other projects have required. I ordered a dirty dingo power steering pulley that is smaller and an pressure valve. Mounted the new oil pan. Starter to get the engine harness laid out to see how it’s going to fit. Where are you all mounting the fuse box and controls?

I recently did this (installed the pedal). I used SMC epoxy to glue in some 1/8 inch fiberglass sheet to make a flat spot to mount it, then I put in piece of flat stock metal (about 1/8 inch, maybe a little less)...I got that shaped how I wanted it, then I had to cut the mounting bracket and re-weld....also had to ensure it was relatively square with a spacer under one part of the bracket to get it where I wanted it. People approach this different ways, mine worked for me.

I got a lot of good advice from guys on this forum who did it before me. I mounted the fuse box on the driver's side firewall underneath the area just right (looking at the firewall) of the fuse bulk head...its out of sight under that fender area. I mounted the ECM on the passenger side of the firewall....sort of under the hood latch and off to the left.

I’m sorry I have been tied up with all of the front end accessories that I haven’t worried about the wheels yet. I did read your post. My brake kit gets here next week so I’ll definitely be needing some help I’d say

sorry i have been of the thread for awhile. just a quick update.

got the dirty dingo smaller diameter power steering fully installed and the water pump back from the machine shop. front drive is done and everything clears so thats a bit of good news. fuse box and controls are mounted and the wiring of the engine is 900% done. still have to work on mounting the gas pedal or going a different route. radiator came in today and the steeroids rack will be here tomorrow. tilt steering column is back ordered unit september!? still have to install the brakes and the new digital gauges. she is coming together nicely. got to start her up today!!!

Have you noticed the front end raising up significantly ? Might need to prepare yourself for some front suspension changes

Also is that the final engine height ? I needed to shave that heater hose boss right off my housing as that area sits right down beside A-arm while yours appears to sit almost above it ?
