Default Too good not to share

So I posted this on the C3 forum, but it is too good not to share with ya'll

A famous quote, by a famous person, went something like

“If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed.”

Note the attached photo of a 1970 Corvette engine, for a ZR1 convertible, currently listed on ebay

By the way, the author of that quote... Adolf Hitler

Not having a lot of experience with C3’s, what is the issue other than it’s not an LT1?

The CTV code is for a ZR1, of which the LT-1 engine is part of the package. I of 25 made that way in 1970, and an easy 6 figure car.

However, Stevie Wonder could have done a better job stamping (re-stamping) that engine. IT turns out the car is well known as an original 350 hp car that has been "massaged" a bit.

“Massaged”, lol.

I’ve seen a lot of crappy factory stamping on other Makes, just wasn’t sure about this one. He does spend a lot of time in the description attempting to distance himself from the vehicle’s pedigree. Caveat emptor!

You know, if these people could redirect their talents, they might be something other than a crook. And a stupid crook to boot! Wow, that is bad!

I'd say that this one is the winner for the bad restamp of the week award. Maybe the month.

At least he shows a close up of the suspect stamping
