Heater Hose Blocking Question?
Don't even ask why, but does anyone have any ideas on a transition piece (copper or brass or ? ) that could be used to transition between the 3/4" and 5/8" heater hoses. It only needs to work for 30-40 miles, it's not a permanent fix. I tried to stretch the 5/8" hose over the 3/4" bib, but if I could do it at one time, I can't do it now.
Tried a brass plumbing elbow, but the threads are allowing the water to seep out in a pretty steady stream. Looked for some copper pipe fittings to build up (solder) a transition union, but those are impossible to find locally and not even sure the outside diameter of standard copper fittings will be right for the inside diameter of the hoses.....without checking it first. Looking for some suggestions or even something that worked for you.
If I can find someway to block the end of the hoses will that be okay and not affect the cooling? I need to have the car running so I can keep my appointment to have the top installed next week.

Our local Carquest store carries black pvc fittings for that purpose. The have straight, 90s, etc. 5/8 to 3/4 combos, what ever you need.
