I'd caution folks against some restorers (to remain nameless) I bought a restored 63 cluster which had to have the gauges re-restored - the price was so good I didn't get hurt. Corvette Specialties, Bill Harrison or Joe Ray are my choices for a quality job on original cluster.

Was Velocity Black the name of the gauge design?
Yes, if you go on their web site and look under their "Performance Gauges" you will see them. I borrowed some of the Velocity Black and their Autocross gauges to come up with my own design. Here is another picture for you.

If I recall correctly, Carlos Vivas of C&S Restorations did my dash.

My 1964 has a 1967 dash with 1964 controls. At some point I want to update to the correct “bent needle” gauges which I think look great.

My current restored dash.

The correct 1964 gauges I plan on getting in the future.

I just received my 1957 gauges, restored to original appearance, but all electronic and quartz conversion on the clock from John at Redline. Great guy, great service. They look great. I'll post pics in a couple days when I get to them. Mineare for an LS engine setup. He knows all the needs whether going original or Restomod. He has all of the repro date stampings as well. Highly recommend at least talking with him before deciding on a gauge restorer.

For their dash cluster restoration?
I think you'll find that these large vendors farm out such work to one of the restorers most likely already mentioned here....

Is the paint semi-gloss or flat finish??? Hard to tell on a computer screen.
Which (whose) gauge cluster are u referring to?

if mine, the ‘60 cluster in Tan, it is a single stage flattened color so as to clash with the leather dash.

Default Auto Meter Tach and Speedo

Went with a 120 mph speedo to use more of the sweep when driving. Never planned on doing 160 any time soon.

Do you need a special tool to replace the steering wheel? I noticed you have a picture with the horn button on and off.
