That’s a beautiful car - but what exactly is it in those pics that has been ceramic coated?

The paint has been ceramic coated. I did not mean to post the interior picture.

Dust doesn't stick to the car, it stays silky smooth, bird poop etc. will just roll right off, and it never needs to be washed again, only dry washed. Plus, the paint won't scratch without a lot of effort. If you have a dark car, it's worth it!

It looks beautiful Chris. A friend of mine just had it done on his Black C6 but I haven’t seen it yet. I don’t know the brand but it was around $400.00.

Gyeon Quartz. I had them ceramic coat my father's 64 as well a few months ago. It was a bit more expensive since it needed a lot of paint correction, but they made a 15 year old paint job look like it was more or less fresh out of the booth. They literally look wet and I can't believe how well it repels dust!

The product and application cost around $700-$800. The product makes up about $200 of that cost. However, if you need a 3 stage paint correction, you are going to be in for about $1200 Plus. The paint has to be perfect with zero scratches before application of the ceramic coating.

Car looks wicked. My paint's new so a good candidate for this coating. First I've heard of ceramic coating. Do you recommend applying the coating yourself? My finish will never be more perfect.

I think it's the first time I've seen your Black Beauty. I assume it's a custom chassis? Those wheel's 18's? Don't remember you showing this car here before. Tell us a little about the car.

Congrats. A knockout. Wishing big numbers for you.

It is extremely fun as well! It rides like a new sports car on the interstate cruising at 80mph...only takes one finger on the wheel to keep it straight. The power is unbelievable and it will get you into trouble in a split second. I don't normally put stereo systems in these restomods, but I have to say, I love the system in this car. It's nice to have the option of listening to tunes while cruising down the road. It's going to make someone extremely happy. I just hope it does well at auction.

I'm sure you could apply it yourself if you did the proper research. I simply have not had the time to look into it and I trust this detailer to make sure everything is absolutely perfect.

You can read a lot about it in the "Car Care" section of our forum. There are some downsides too.

When I saw your title, I thought I was going to read about exhaust manifolds. Never heard of CC for a painted car. I'm assuming they did not put car in an oven to bake it. I need to go to the car care section and read. Why does paint have to be perfect.

I have not experienced any downsides yet with either cars. One of my friends had his 67 Shelby Mustang coated 8 months ago and he has only wiped it off so far. He’s had the car out at least once per week.
