Default One piece window on a C2 Coupe

Has anyone done or seen a one piece window done on a C2 coupe by eliminating the vent windows. Building a resto-mod and this crazy idea came to mind.

Actually, I recall the same topic coming up a few years ago on the FORUM - as I recall, the post faded into the distance as it seemed it was too difficult I believe. Have you tried the "search" function?

The "Bill Mitchell" GM design car 1964 coupe has one piece side glass. I first saw this car back in 1983 when Gene Tucker down in Georgia owned it.The car has so many unique features on it, some of them became production line options in later years, some did not, including the side glass. It would be very difficult to do without the entire inner door structure being removable to get the glass and tracks into place.

Found a picture of it from Bob McDorman collection that Mecum sold a few years ago.

I ran across that when searching which is one reason I'd like to do it. Love the look. There's so much fabrication going into the car the tracks wouldn't be an issue. Having a curved piece of glass would be the drawback.

I wonder how close C3 side glass is. I have seen auto glass being cut on Bitchen Rides.

Hmmmmmmm I see these custom shops having custom glass made all the time but big shops/big cities have better resourses than we have around here.

The "Mitchell Car" was restored about 15 years ago by a dear friend of mine (Werner Meier) who also had the photographic history of the work done originally at GM Styling. Here it is in Werner's shop in 2003.
