Morning drives anyone else?
my friend and I drove his late father’s 8k mile zr-1 back from his repurchase in Oregon a few months ago, and it’s on rotation with his Porsche’s now on early morning drives.
Today there were no other takers, just our two cars and my son who turns 9 today- over the mountain down the valley road and back up another mountain, all done before 8:30 (starting about 7).
Did anyone else go out?

One of my favorite memories of my 61 was cruising down to the NCRS Regional in Florida one January a few years back...
Sun was just coming up on a brisk, cold, top down drive. I had the heater running full blast and a full cup of steaming coffee.
I was the only car on a country back road and about a dozen hot air balloons were just heading skyward in the rising sun over the highway.
Postcard picture stuff for sure!

Na! I never think of a morning drive, as I am trying to figure out what to do with morning wood!

That is way late in the night or around or after 2am exercising the high wattage H4 Marchals (Meow!) as the Police were chasing or staking out bars to get the drunk drivers. Therefore had to sleep in next mornings!

C'mon, Benton - let's get some wheel covers on that car - will ya?
Just messin' with you - looks like you had a blast . . . raining up here or I would have been out this morning!
Happy Birthday to your son!!!

As for wheelcovers- I have not run them since Road Atlanta but I have been driving the mustang more admittedly. I really like the bare rim look! Julie probably won’t go out with me without some hubcaps tho.

Morning rides are the best!
One of my favorite rides was when my best friend and I both had 1971's, (in the mid 70's) his an LT1 and mine was a 454 car.
We would do the loop up and down RT 112 (The Kank) from Woodstock NH, to Conway, and back around through Crawford's notch to Rt 93 and back to Woodstock just in time when everyone was ready to go to breakfast!. Who needs coffee!!
BTW-I still do this ride every chance I get, but I live here now and start from the Conway side!

Morning, noon and night. I drive one of my cars everyday I leave the house unless it is pouring down rain or I need to drive the truck for some reason. That is what they built them for, to DRIVE.

i have both my young kids every day but I do use the fastback several times a week. The Corvette sits too much but in the early morning hours reminds why it’s worth keeping!

I agree - morning drives are the best! Cool fresh air, top down, light traffic, and on the weekends mostly kindred souls early in the morning.
