Default '57 Clutch return spring build

Can anyone tell me if the pin for the clutch return spring on a '57 corvette is at the top or bottom of the spring? The spring came back from the builder with the pin on the bottom and when the clutch is pushed in it hangs up. From what I can tell from the AIM it should be at the top? Also, any tips on how to uninstall it and reinstall the spring? I know it's different than other C1's. As always, many thanks for any assistance.

Should be at both top and bottom of spring.

AHa! that explains it..., no wonder the spring was hanging up on the bracket... Thank you!

Got the new 2nd clip today. Should probably know this but does the wavy side of the pin go up or down on the upper bracket? Again, thanks for the answer on this...
