Hey Guys,
Just wondered how many of us drive their Corvette to golf. I have on several occasions but Ialways have concerns. Like where do you put them in the car. I usually put mine in the front seat of my 65 coupe while my driver goes in the back. Always worried about my leather seats.
Also parking at the course and adult beverages after.
Now that I am retired I want to drive it more to these types of things.
What do you guys that golf do?
I often drive to the golf course with clubs in our '66 coupe. I carefully lay the clubs diagonally in the back. For parking? I aim for an end spot and in a safe location where a wayward shot is unlikely to land.
I’d be a lot more worried about my classic car insurance not covering such an activity.
There are different tiers of coverage some of which are less restrictive.
American Collectors offers this.
Of course I would urge the OP to clarify with his insurer and get in writing exactly what their position is.

I do It!!! After I set the Alarm, Hire a Guard, and an attack dog in the passenger seat........No Problem!

Banking on an a regular golf outing falling under a policy's "occasional pleasure driving" clause is rolling the dice if the worst happens..
I'm not telling anybody what to do but just citing something to think about...

I dont drink or golf so that theoretical scenario will never exist for me however in real world objective experience I lost a 1965 coupe to fire about 20 years ago and was paid agreed value in about 5 days. I was pleasure driving, we went to the beach and after 40 minutes or so came back to the car to see the interior completely filled with smoke. It was a goner 10 minutes later. Point being I was never asked once by the insurer where I was going, why I was driving etc. etc. and anyway these cars are not irreplaceableand I wont let the fear of losing money interfere with one of my favorite pass times especially at my age.

And nobody said that you should.
I have some unique experience with large accident claims on classic cars. My carrier was superb but if some company wanted to get cagey about paying up; I wouldn't want to be on the wrong side of the argument...
