I went with the CON2R 15" black wheel a few years back and other than obstructing the speedometer vision as others have mentioned, I love it. Thicker than stock for a nice feel, and my 5'2" wife has no problem driving or parking it (although she tries REAL hard to avoid parallel parking!).
I'd do it again.

I put in a custom wood 15in. wheel a few years ago, and it's a bit of a challenge in slow tight steering situations. but at anything above that it's great, extra room for knees and beer belly!
Old Grant wood rim on a custom stainless core I had made for it........walnut with matching shift **** makes a nice compliment to the fawn interiour. .....sorry about the crappy picture.

I went with power r&p and a 15” wheel in my ‘61. At 6’4”, I needed the room and the steering is perfect. I also posted a pic of a Wheelskin cover in my 1988 LR Defender.
15” wheel on an Ididit column with power r&p.
This picture is of a Wheelskins cover I installed in my 1988 LR Defender. I ordered the two tone from their stock color selection and it matched perfectly with the material I used for the interior and gauge insert. I ordered it on eBay.

I did this on my '59. Ordered the CON2R wheel and sent it to Al Knoch, who covered it in the same leather as my interior. (CON2R offers this too, but their leather wrapping contractor was mostly non-responsive, and the swatches he eventually sent weren't quite right.) I'm 6'6"/290, this made all the difference in the world for my drivability. I do have electronic power steering under the dash as well.
I 'm tall enough to the see the speedometer over the wheel, and the other gauges through the wheel. Will post a pic later.

I replaced mine 5 years ago. It looks identical to the original including the thickness. Paid about $500. Some times its hard to park but not a big deal. Make it much easier to get in and out. I am 6' 2" and I love it.
