65 big block update part 2
I posted a couple pics. in an unrelated thread but decided to start a new thread with more pics.
I spent the last couple of weeks cutting/buffing/assembling and yesterday put the body back on the frame.

Very, very nice
Did you restore a midyear silver coupe a few years back?

That’s beautiful, Jim - and I don’t usually care for green cars!

Better than when it was new, no doubt. Just thinking about the time and care that goes into those builds boggles the mind. Outstanding work!

Thanks Glenn, I'm not a big fan of green either but like I posted before, I owned a Forest Green 70 LS-6 Chevelle and a Green Mist 70 RS Camaro. The green on this car is only noticeable in direct sunlight, otherwise it looks black. I watched my supplier mix the paint and the #1 toner is black.

Thanks. I have no idea of the amount of hours I put in a complete build. It's a hobby and I enjoy it (most of the time). I was talking with my father-in-law after selling my last project (non-Corvette). When we talked about profit, I asked "How much did you make playing golf in the last two years?" That shut him up!

Here's the 1965 GM color chips from back in the day. Agree that GG is also black, when viewed under certain light. Here's Nassau and Glen, with sunlight on the kitchen counter.
BTW, nice car; got time for another ?
