I 'm needing to purchase my missing battery hold down cover on my 64 none a/c car. They offer black or cad plated. Which finish would be original to the car?

I don't have a 64 Judging manual but I think all C2's were painted black. Wait until a 64 guy jumps in though.

My original 77K mile '64 has black. I doubt that they ever had a cad plated one if you are looking for correct. If not, go with which ever one you like the looks of best.

If you are talking about the top cover with the heat shield, I have one in perfect condition I would sell. I converted to a Optima and they require a different fit for the cover. I'm in Orange County, CA.

The hardware was transfered over to hold the Optima.

Tod, I'm going to order it from Central, I would still need install hardware that I would have to order Plus shipping again, So it would be more cost effective for me to go that rout. If yours was OEM I would of went with yours. Thank you for checking for me, RQ
