Gravity has always worked for me,just takes a bit of patience. Grab a cup of coffee and let it happen. I like the camera idea....I don;t have one, but it would be a def. timesaver. Great for checking brake lights, turn signals, spark, you name it. Great idea. And some of us don't need a camera to check our prostate....our head is already up our A$$! Again, cool idea, Frank, and the sign of a flexible/ active mind.

Good Idea. I noticed your fluid looks pretty dark. The goal should be not to just get the air out but to replace the brake fluid. I bleed just like you do but into a larger container. I then open the bleeder and count short 2" strokes (long strokes put the master cup into unused territory which if rusty can hurt the cup), say eight to ten pumps and check reservoir level. I experiment to see how many pumps take it to a comfortable level (not too low) Fill reservoir and repeat. If done a few times for each wheel almost all brake fluid will be changed and the system will last much longer. I do all of mine at least every three years. The only way most cylinders fail is because of rust and corrosion. Brake fluid is hygroscopic (absorbs water), flushing often can avoid the problems. The beauty of going for the flush, is when you are done you know the air is out, no need to look for bubbles.

Precisely what I did. All the old fluid got purged which is why I did a 4 wheel bleed instead of just the failed wheel cylinder as some of the “short cut” crowd suggested. The camera let me see when the fresh fluid started to appear at each wheel.

Corvettes have two speeds: fast and half-assed.

High tech equipment - sounds appropriate for the so called “digital” exam....... those who have been there/done that will understand the reference!

Yup, one definitely has to be flexible to achive that position. I believe the technical term for it is “a severe case of crainial - rectal inversion”.

Some of you might want to try just using DOT 5 silicon based brake fluid in the first place- that would eliminate most of these problems - and discussion. IMHO THAT is the smart move.

Likely because she told him what he could do with his short leg jokes! Maybe she runs the show around there?

My cars will see DOT 5 whey they pry my cold dead hands from the shifter. Not a minute earlier.

And just wait until you get a prostate biopsy. I’ve had two. You get to choose between having it in the exam room or under sedation in the hospital. Didn’t take me long to decide.

Wow- your choice, of course. Me - I’ve been using it for 25+ years with great success, no problems. Your opinion may vary.

I've had two as well....no sedation and a rough couple of painful days afterwards...both negative thank goodness....

I just stay away from the "5" fluids, both DOT-5 and GL-5...
I don't care who touts what about their benefits and how harmless they are....its just not worth it whether the pros and cons are fact OR fiction...

The advantage of the Aardvark is the camera can be 10-20 feet from your smartphone and so you can place it somewhere in a fixed location and view it remotely - even works to tell if that glove box light stays on when you close the door.
