Default Fender bib or protectors for 1965 Stingray

Hello all, this is my first post. I'll get right to it:

CAR: 1965 Corvette StingRay convertable. Blue in color. 327 with a Muncie hanging off of it. It's a 51k original miles piece. Pretty straight, the interior is very clean. Everything works and its been cared for pretty well.

This is not my car. A dear friend bought it and gave it to his wife. She has a lead foot... This thing screams down the Interstate at 3800rpm when cruising at 75mph. Pretty deep gears in the back, they gotta be around 3.70-something.

The plan is to ****** the motor out and send it to McCabe Motorsports in Colorado Springs. Robby is a friend and top shelf engine builder. He did a hell of a job on my Whippled 421 LSX that sits in my GTO. 1200ish at the wheels is fun. For this project were looking for a solid 400 horse roller motor converted to a fuel injection setup like the MSD Atomic or equivalent. Finally, a 5 speed conversion. The little Muncie is coming out. We need to keep the grunt in the rear end while taming down FW engine speed. A Tremec TKO is alleged to drop in with an application specific trans mount and drive shaft.

Before any of this happens, I have to pull the motor. Paint on this thing is squeaky clean. I need some fender covers, which is what brings me here. Does anyone make a bib/bonnet fender cover/protector that'll wrap around the front of the car? I see them for Chevelles, but Vette stuff has been a brick wall.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

C.

Check out Paragon #3767 pro fender apron and see if that's what you want. Cheers, Bill

$239 for fender covers?

And to think I just used furniture pads held on by clips when I pulled my motor...

Good luck OP, sounds like a hell of an engine is going back in.

Errrr....yeah - I'm an old terry cloth bathrobe and furniture pad guy myself and recommend that to others...
.
You're gonna want to do some paint correction after an engine R&R anyway....some of those vendor fender bibs are too thin for my taste anyway....a dropped wrench can make a mark right through them...
