TRW engine parts numbers
Decided to freshen up the heads on R66. I have a few new parts left from our racing days. I found the new springs, valves, and pushrods. I also found rings and bearings but am not sure of the fit as I cannot find a reliable source for the part numbers. I want to be ready should I pull the heads and find some cylinder wear or scoring that I don't like.
Then found these TRW rod and main bearings:
MS1808P (3 sets) main bearings - I believe they fit the 61 thru 66 small journal crank - 2.30"
MS909P (1set) main bearings - I believe they fit the 67 and up small blocks - 2.45"
CB663P1 (1set) rod bearings - I believe they fit the 61 thru 66 small journal crank - 2.0"
Anyone have an old TRW parts catalog that they could verify these parts for me?
Thanks
Ron

If you do a Google search for each number it tells what they fit.

Tried that and the eBay posts were all over the place and don't know that I trust them. A couple of parts resellers had the MS1808P main bearings fitting everything from 57 thru 89. I think I have it right, but If all else fails, I will remove a set from the packaging and measure the ID, but was hoping someone might have a reliable source. It looks like Mahle bought out just about everyone. Just being lazy I guess.

I have a TRW catalog from the 70s. I will get it out and confirm your findings, but I DO believe you have it right.

The MS1808P are main bearings for small journal cranks, they'll work for 265, 283, and 327.
The MS909P are 350 main bearings they will also work for a large journal 327 or a 302 if you happen to have a few of them laying around or a 307.
the CB663P1 are .001" under rod bearings for a large journal crank. They are for tightening up the clearance if it's a little loose. They also fit the LS family of engines, i.e. Ls1-LS7

Well, I hung on to these for years. I guess I have saved a little money if I need main bearings, but still will have to buy rod bearings if I need to go any farther than a valve job. Then again, while I have it down, why not do it all, need or not. I've got rings, roller timing chain, oil pump, and gaskets, so it is a little expense thing. The part I hate is pulling the engine and trans again. Got 4 months, no hurry.
Thanks again Gentlemen.
PS: Now I can justify the 8x20 Sea Land storage to my wife. Won't tell her how inexpensive they are.
