From my younger days.............shifting at 7000 RPM.
Now, I am not sure I can shift any of my 4-speeds in less than 3 seconds.

The meaning of AkrHack follows ==> Akr is for my home town of Akron, Ohio and Hack is a reference to my career in Information Technology where I've been hacking code for 30+ years.

My last name translated from Slovak to English is "bird". I graduated from Illinois State University (Redbirds). My home State of Illinois, state bird is the cardinal "Redbird", and my first corvette after the 3 kids flew the coop and joined the forum was my Roman Red/Red 1962.

When I lived in Alaska (just until last year) I used to spend waaaay too much time on car/motorcycle/aviation forums and luckily SonnyAK was never taken on any of them. Sonny is my first name and AK for the state. Now that I live in Illinois it doesn't make as much sense but I guess I'll stick with it!

I wanted to use my regular first name (John), but there are a million guys named John, so I added the "Z" to make it work. The only real person I knew named John with a "Z" initial was DeLorean,, and he's gone.

Named after my cat ETHYL who was named for premium gasoline at the pump that was called ETHYL , When you went into a gas station you told the attendant to fill it up with ETHYL. The name disappeared in the 1980's when lead was removed from gasoline.

I have a 64, so, yes a lot of confusion with the 57 in my forum name. Well it's my year, not the car's!!
My nickname my whole life has been "Oak" which is the first half of my last name, sometimes my closest buddies sweeten it to "Oaker" at times for whatever reason...(only in America can your nickname get a nickname??).....So therefore, I most creatively threw it all together, and came up with "Oaker57....!!
