Default Photos of my car for Auction-Thoughts

Photos are 3 posts below. I had trouble getting them to upload.

hope it is ok if I post this. If not, feel free to remove it moderators. I took these photos on Monday and think they represent my car well. Why they wanted to give me a very late spot on Saturday(40 cars from the end) and why they will only allow 4 of my photos instead of 6-9 like others is beyond me. I've been in contact with them since the first week of July and really thought my car would be placed in a decent spot. I like Barrett-Jackson overall, but I am mystified to the politics involved with getting a decent spot. I have moved my 67 Restomod Corvette to an early evening Friday spot in place of the very late Saturday spot. Hopefully it will work out well, but if not, what will be will be....
It's out of my hands at this point. Good luck to all selling or who are bidding!

I think you did the right thing moving the car to Friday. Saturday is good but it peaks early and many people start loosing interest late in the evening. Your car will do well.

Chris,
I’ve had my frustrations with the process as well, but overall have been very happy with the feedback from my consigner. I went to the Vegas auction and scheduled a meeting face to face to discuss the cars we were bringing and my anticipated values and made my request for preview location. Don’t know if the meeting helped or not, but I feel it was worth the time invested.

I think the quality cars get the attention and as long as it’s Friday or Saturday for the higher end cars I feel they will bring the money. It’s a gamble, but that’s part of the excitement, my three high end cars sell within an hour gonna be a wild night.

All the best, I know your car will do very well, can’t wait to meet up in Scottsdale.

Rob

Love the new pics, they really show off the paint better than the inside pictures.

I understand what you are saying Rob, but we are at their mercy. Im not saying Mecum is any different, but when you have been anticipating a great spot for 6 months and you get hosed, its a little frustrating. I would guarantee any buyer that they could pick my car up today and drive it 1500 miles with a smile on their face the entire way.

The Ceramic coating was worth every penny! I washed it for the first time last week since it was coated and all dust just slid right off with water,
I have no reason to market this process currently and I think it is very expensive, but it is worth it for high end cars!

thanks rob! For being an amatuer photographer, I think they turned out pretty well after editing them.

Lot number is now 1078 on Friday night. I’m guessing 5:30-6:30

Chris, those pictures are awesome! Friday is a much better position and your competition will mean the difference between doing well and doing very well. Plus, late Friday onsite provides a better chance for bold bidding enhanced by alcohol. Beer muscles are only second to keyboard muscles!

Another stunning car from you Chris. Very well done. This car represents what a resto-mod is all about.

Stunning Chris. If I had you build me a car.... that would be it (except in '66 ). Can't imagine it not doing very well. The one thing I can do is pray for your success. Blessings.

And,... appreciate the comment on the ceramic coating. My paint is new so now would be the ideal time to apply the ceramic. Been debating if I should trust this new technology. Be thinking of you.
