Please keep posting these, ST! In each pic I find things I like and things I don’t like. They help me refine my thinking and planning as we head towards the end of March when I get back on the body work. For the record, there will be no sectioning and moving of the current flares. There will, however, be plenty of adjusting smoothing and blending to achieve the correct profiles and look.

Some frontal pics …. plenty of adjusting, smoothing, and blending.

One, two, three out with thee!
Engine out and begging to be cleaned up.
Old lump. Anybody need it?
I had to put the front wheels on 2x4’s in order for my engine hoist legs to roll under.

Very excited to see this one come together!!! Obviously, you knew you were gonna get some hate on the flares. I assume this is your inspiration:
Personally, I dig it!! I don't have the ballz to do it to my own car, but I always enjoy seeing other people's vision come together!

Safety Car
Looking good. One question. When it’s time for the first test drive, can I drive it first? Just trying to keep the tradition on this car of me going first.

Put away for the evening. I did remove the battery tray. It appears to be the only real rust in the car and need to be replaced. Fortunately, the body mount under it is fine and the frame is fine.
Safely away for the evening. Tomorrow it is supposed to be only in the upper 40’s and rainy. I need two hours to give the engine bay and chassis a good cleaning.
Then back in the garage to replace body mounts and paint the rest of the chassis.

Mark, found this pic going through one of my old threads about mini-lite wheels. Thought it might provide some additional direction, either good or bad as you continue to hash out the final shape/integration of your flares.

I painted a bullseye on the number one offender right there in the center of that picture.
Not much, actually any work was done today given it was cold and rainy here. Tomorrow it will hit 60 after lunch and be sunny, so it will be power washing time, but I will not be connecting it to the hot water heater. That was a painful lesson learned already.
I did pick up some more powder coated parts. My air cleaner and rocker moldings. Of course I now realize I may need to trim the moldings, but that is the hazard of trying to plan too far ahead.

Fat Boy gets a body lift, but he’s still fat
I spent a couple hours with the pressure washer blasting 50 years of crap off the frame and undercarriage.
A pressure washer is the perfect tool for determining how poorly applied the paint was both times it was repainted. Looks like it went from the original black to orange and then white. Fun!
Lifted the passenger side about 6”. Plenty of room to clean and paint. I also pulled the old rusty fuel line and will run dual ss lines tomorrow. Probably one of the most difficult tasks on this project. Yes, once I jacked it up I have a back up for the back up for the back up. Can’t be too careful when your hands are in harms way!
Easy access! I’m replacing the body mounts while I’m at it. The birdcage channel is perfect.

Damn, I never once considered doing the brake & fuel lines like that??
Brilliant!! In 15 years on this site that's the first time I've seen that.
