Default 59 rear inner tub measurement?

Does anyone know the width of stock inner wheels tubs (inside to inside) on a 59?

I am building a restomod with art Morrison chassis. I'm gonna run 18x10 with 275/35/18's and dont want to tub the car and loose the rag top.

GTS Customs is installing their 1.5" wider rear qtrs to make it happen.

I need stock inner dimension to set up backspacing of rims and housing width and would like 3/4" space from inside tub to tire bubble.

I guess I could try and measure with tape measure but dont know how accurate that would be.

Any help would be much appreciated.

The measurement is 1192mm (46.9" for the metrically impaired). I measured it by dropping a plumb line from the vertical section of the inner fender, just behind the rear tires on each side, to the floor, marking that position, and then measuring between the two.

Oh wow, thank you for doing that. I'm assuming the measurement is the same front to back of the tub for tire clearance?

thank you very much my friend!

On my 57, I noticed that the limiting factor appears to be toward the front where the convertible top storage protrudes just a little into the wheel well.

Yes, but when I was looking at putting 305s on mine, it definitely looked like it would rub with normal suspension travel. 275s may be OK.
