Default Corvette service

I will be receiving my 67’ later this week.
Can anyone recommend a talented Corvette guy in the northeast to help with the car when needed.
Thanks

What kind of help do you need? Mechanical, electrical, body? Why not read up on your car and work on it yourself? Much more enjoyable!

Laurence, Contact Bill Curlee of Gales Ferry or Steve Doten, of Farmington, both have been here on the Forum for years. Both of them tend to hang out on the C5, C6 and C7 Forums, but definitely know their Corvettes and will be able to hook you up with a reliable/reputable source.

Good luck... GUSTO

at the end of the day they are no different then your grandmas old four door Impala from the 60's. so don't get caught up in the Corvette only shops. while those shops have there place but they are not needed for everything

Absolutely. No sense paying for a $150 oil change just because someone “knows” Corvettes. That is the type of crap that BMW and MB dealers pull. The expert on anything is always 30 miles away....

I agree
Mechanical work is usually simple.
Corvettes still have their quirks.

Basic mechanical service any quality shop should be able to do, if you get involved in the unique vette parts that is different. I held seminars on those units at Carlisle for years and started at my home in Cheshire this fall. If you want to learn how to work on the specialty areas of these cars I will probably hold a few more next year.

The worst place I’ve found is my local Chevrolet service department. I didn’t know where to take my car for some basic things when I first got it so that’s where I took it. Big mistake. Cost a ton of money and things weren’t done correctly.

After owning my csr car for awhile, And with help from this forum, I’ve learned how to do most things myself.

Bair's Corvette in Linesville , PA. Small family run business since 1970 with a lot of talent in total rebuilds of early Corvettes .
