Head games... What goes on here?
So, I pulled the valve covers yesterday as I had ordered original valve covers for the Red Car (65 BB) and clearly these aren't stock rockers..... So I can see from the stamping that the heads are 3917215 close port BB heads with 104cc chambers. As until now I am not an American motor guy so I don't know what the original rocker ratios should be, but I am assuming from the stamping that these are 1.7:1.... Any guesses as to what may or may not be a reasonable build here? i was told that the motor was a 71 ls5 454 bored .060...

1.7 is the original ratio for a big block Chevy. I would want to know what was in it for a cam before making any other mods. I run those same rockers in a 1.5 ratio 7/16 stud on the mechanical street roller cam small block in my 69 Camaro. It has oil restrictors in the top end so it would destroy a set or OEM style rockers pretty quickly.
I would assume with the aftermarket FI setup that most likely it is roller cammed? I would assume hydraulic?
A cam degreeing kit would be the way to ID without disassembling the motor. But it may or may not work in a c2/c3 big block vette because of how close the front crossmember is.

Not seeing what the issue is, they are crane roller rockers, nice pieces, regardless if its flat tappet hydro, or roller cam, has no bearing on it selling, the car is a BB FI, and a 71 454 to boot, your not touting it as original.
