Spot on as usual. With one exception. Just because you can buy all the parts and do it yourself doesn't mean the end result will be worth what you spent on parts. Skill levels vary greatly.

Here is a "Perfect Example"....this home is called or known as a "Bulldozer"....the home will be DEMOLISHED to build a New approx 3,500 - 4,000 sq ft "Mini Mansion"..
The lot is approx 6,000 sq ft....at a Sold Price of approx...$1,600.000.00 ...Developers are PAYING approx...wait for it....$250.00+++++ a Square Foot for DIRT!!!!!

I'm a semi-retired home builder/developer....when "68Hemi" talks about "$100,000.00 HOMES...for myself as a builder/developer in the San Francisco Bay Area....a "$100,000.00"....is a Quality Kitchen Remodel! ....

NOT puffing nor beating my chest.....just stating FACTS!...Mark
As an SF Bay Area resident for 40 years prior to my move to central CA 16 years ago, I have to agree. Everything is expensive there, especially real estate. Still own the modest house I bought there in 1997 for 170k.....it has more than quadrupled in value in that time. Go over the bridge to San Francisco, and 1 million dollars will maybe buy you a 1000 sf shack in the Excelsior district. A decent home comparable to my Oakland digs would run 2.5-3 million in SF.

Guys, this wild detour into real estate values has veered into postings that I have had to remove due to inappropriate content.

Please stay on topic for the thread. Thanks.

I don’t have a picture of the exhaust but I love the rear exits in the bumpers. I would pay whatever the price is to have a set replicated for my car. I just can’t stop thinking about how clean it makes the back of the car look. But that’s my opinion anyway. I DVR’ d the show and keep watching the exhaust portion. Just Bitchen!!!

Dave visualized that exhaust and Jordan made it happen. Quite a few artists in that shop. But agree, Dave’s the guy that “sees” it first.

Regardless of how you feel about the horsing around. Kindig and Martin Brothers are leaders of healthy teams/businesses. The key personnel turnover in some of the other shows shouts volumes about the cultures and ultimately the products.

Gorgeous car. I’ll never have Kindig and his guys do anything for me, but sure would like for them to.

This pretty much sums up the whole thing. You can't 'teach' the creative gene....either you have it in one area or another or you don't. Some skills can be taught, but the best craftsmen have a natural bent for it in the first place. Agree that that Kindig and Martin Brothers do fine work. Also like Ian Roussel on Full Custom Garage....he's more of a sculptor than a mechanic, but he's a humble guy who produces some interesting stuff out of pretty much nothing. I like seeing that.

That’s interesting and creative work. I’m not a restomod guy but that’s talented custom artistry that should be appreciated.

Lotsacubes I agree but prefer Joe Martin at Iron Resurrection a little more because there is no designated clown ala KevDog! But in most cases for me it really depends on what the car is they are working on.
But as nice as the 63 Corvette exhaust design from Dave the FI intake filter was a big mistake from Dave!! Talked the owner out of the 427 hood he wanted but didn't deliver on the pie pan intake design for the FI system. Don't care for those big fiberglass air intakes!

Yep, that picture shows that odd fiberglass intake tube stuff...I get it that they were creative to make, but with using the hood with custom grates they should have figure out different ducting...but that is the only thing bad I can say about the car...well maybe not but its all now. Still great car. If I had the funds, they would build me a couple cars...and so on and so forth....(if I had the funds)...Hope you all have a happy new year!

Hey!...Blue with a saddle (Curry) interior...I knew I've seen that somewhere before!......I was wondering why they spent a lot of time around our '64 a couple of years ago at a Goodguys event...

Seriously though...That is a fine build...(Including the exhaust...Excluding the air intakes)..The top car show I watch along with Joe Martin.

Just my opinion but---I can sure appreciate the craftsmanship and talent with the exhaust. However to me they are a little too "gender specific".

In this age of the me too women movement and politically correctness they could put Dave in jail as the guy who designed that exhaust system. He better watch out for Nancy and Maxine! LOL!!!!
