Default Brief Corvette ownership

As reported, I purchased a 62’ Fuelie from Greg Wyatt. Unfortunately it wasn’t quite what I wanted. Greg and I worked things out and I have moved on. I found Greg to be a reasonable guy.
Thanks for my brief participation on this forum

I plan to follow my original instinct and find a perfect small block C2.
Would prefer a 67’ but would consider a 65’ fuel injected car.
preferably a two top roadster but a coupe can be a possibility as well.

Do you have a color in mind for the '67?

That red convertible you had in the bag was gorgeous. Is there something negative about that car the rest of us should know about so we steer clear of it?

keep us posted on your search for another car.

Mine was Goodwood green
I would take a great car in almost any color.
Yellow is not my favorite

The red car is a very good car
I had an opportunity to speak with it’s last owner-very solid honest vehicle
I’m looking for a perfect car which may not exist
Kevin Mackay will help me this time around

Your budget?

I know of a green/green and a blue/blue. Both very nice but expensive. The green one is more than the blue one.

Im impressed that a seller would take a car back without, apparently, a major issue.

I have decided to take a break until after the New Year before again starting my search.
Thanks again for your helpful comments.
Does anyone have experience with RK Motors in Charlotte, NC.
They have some interesting Corvettes.

I know someone that consigned a very special low mileage ‘66 450hp convertible with them and was very pleased with working with them. Per him, they only want top shelf cars to present to their customers.

My first thought is that the word "reasonable" is a pretty light remark when referring to Greg-especially if it cost him a little to seal a deal and then take it back. But, glad it worked out for the good for everyone.

I go to cruise ins in once a month at RK motors. They have some very nice cars. They are higher than the average market, but have quality cars. If you've looked at the site you probably know they have an excellent photographic department.

Greg has been honest and reasonable in my dealings with him.
I’m a tough customer to please.
Although I have never owned a Corvette since my 67’ was stolen in 1970, I have owned many vintage cars I.e. Ferrari’s, Porsche’s and Jaguars.
I will find my car.
Does RK own their cars or are they consigned?
Their 62’ Fuelie reportedly is spectacular

A little of both. if you consign your car, you tell them what you want and they get whatever they sell it for above that. It's not a set percentage. Owner's ask is a base, and their profit is after that.
They recently sold a friend's freshly restored 57 in less than 2 weeks.
