anyone notice a dent in the glove box door, it does not have the correct plastic glove box door, small item, but it would make me wonder what else is not quite right. It does look very nice in the photo's

He mentioned that in the very first post. it would be unreasonable to think you were getting an all original correct car for 35k or less.

You can no longer get just a 63 glove box door face for less than a King’s ransom. The repro house are all selling the complete front door for big $$$. I can understand why somebody might go with a later door.

Being an owner of a Vette of that time period, since it's not an original numbers matching car and if you really want it. Make sure it runs and drives correctly. Have them put it up on a lift for you to inspect. Make sure everything works. Check the wiring harness to make sure it's not butchered up or anything was spliced unnecessarily. Make sure the frame is straight. and look at the body seams in the body to make sure of any fiberglass work done. Being it's not a matching numbers car don't let them pull the whole "But it's a '63 model" on you. Use that fact in your favor.

At the 35k buy-in, you really can't get hurt on this, unless it has frame and birdcage rust. It looks to be a very reasonable price for the car pictured. If you want a classic to drive and enjoy without the worry of everything being numbers correct, this may be just the car.

Got a good look at the car today. Didn't get a chance to drive it because the brakes, parking brake, power steering, and maybe master cylinder were being fixed. Did start up right away and sounded good. Engine is period correct. Checked the #'s. For the most part the frame looked good except for the area in front of drivers side rear wheel. First pics. Looks like the frame was caved in and then covered with what looked like bondo. second pic shows more work done on the frame as it goes up. What would it cost to repair that by a frame shop? Cut it out and repair correctly. Any ideas? Leaking from valve covers. The paint looked really great for a 20 yo paint job. Couple small cracks at the headlight opening. Interior was rough. needs some work. gages all worked except for the mechanical tach that wasn't installed. So the question is what kind of offer should I make? Or walk away do to the frame issue? What do you guys think?

Looks like a tosser. Pretty up top, but nasty underneath. If that's frame rot and not just dirt cake, it will be expensive. And time consuming.
The glove box door is wrong as noted, but to me the gauge pods look really really dirty. Looks like a $20k car trying to pass itself off as a $40k car.
Don't let the lipstick fool you.

Cant tell for sure, but the clock looks wrong....Yep ..its a 65-67 clock.
Steering wheel has a big crack. Seats are almost torn, the dash is cracked.
All replaceable with $$$ even the frame......$$$$$$$

I would walk. It's not a SWC. So it's a '63 vert with issues.
Spend 15k more on a '64 or '65 and enjoy it. You will not like this car taking up garage space repairing it.
