Z06 at Mecum
Black/black, big tank Z06 just sold at Mecum for $250K. That's really low...

Had one earlier that sold for a good bit more.I was surprised at how low that one sold for.

All-in-all, it looks to me like the Z06 price bubble may have burst.

I think it has a regular tank. Hard to tell the value on those, but I think it did well. It sure looked like a beautiful car, great colors, Duntov, done by Tony Avedision. I would love to have that one.

And people ask me why did I sell my automatic for 90,000 ,either it was a very sub par 63 Z06 .
Or the market this winter .
This didn't sell https://www.mecum.com/lots/FL0119-35...-window-coupe/

The black/red car seems pretty special. Cars like that do well, even in a poor market (not that this market is poor).
The other Z06's did not fare nearly so well, with prices well below where they were two years ago. One sold for $275,000, the other one did not meet its reserve, when bid up to $500K (probably a chandelier bid).

Rick drove that car to my house for an engine pulling party several years ago. It drew a crowd that day. Dennis

Two factors....there was a mass exodus of the bidding audience at around 4pm (we assumed for the playoff football games) and Frank Mecum made a deal with the seller. Still I was surprised that the car sold at such a low hammer price. The guy sitting next to me and I thought that it was a $300K+ car any day of the week. Congrats to the buyer. He got a relative bargain.
