My car as it appears now in 2019 . The restoration took about a year and a half. The Sunfire Yellow is a bright color and just out of paint I was a little worried that it was too much yellow. But as more black was added to the final build , it just set it off ( IMHO ). Hurst had just released these wheels( 15 x 8 )and I was glad to see they came in black .The black hood stripe is painted on , no stencil was used just measured and taped off. The Hooker side pipes are flat black and of course the convertible top is black . Better view of the Corbeau Classic seats , very comfortable and they really hold you in.
You can see how the roll bar clears the seats , deck lid and hard top . Whoever designed and installed it really thought of everything.
So I've been driving it for about 5 years now , mainly to Cars and Coffee and cruising country roads . I autocrossed it a few times but we lost our lot a few years ago . I have no regrets about leaving it the way it was built in 1975 , and a lot of people thank me for bringing back memories.
Thanks, for reading and to the Forum. Mike

A really nice transformation. It's great to see another C2 woken up from a long slumber. I enjoyed following along with the rebuild. While yellow would not be my 1st choice I love how the black compliments the yellow. The car looks great in the picture with the hardtop on.
Well done with the rejuvenation and the putting together of this thread.
Thanks for sharing. Enjoy the ride.

Neat car! I've been to the Hunt Valley C&C a couple times. Nice turn out when I went. Mostly late model Corvettes, Ferraris, Lambos and such. I enjoy old stuff more. I may have to give it another try with cars like yours there now!

You did a beautiful job on that car, I have gone to the Hunt Valley cars and coffee also and am amazed at the attendance.
I see so many 63 parts on that car, but you stated It's got a 64 vin, correct. Even the front differential mount looks like a 63 part along with the emergency brake cable, it also has what looks like a 63 passenger side front inner fender.

Thanks tbarb , Not surprising at all, I've identified parts from 63,64,67,68,and 69 . I have extra diff mount , not sure which one I used , E brake cable is new , I tried to adapt the 67 disc brake setup to the drum brake parking shoe cables with mixed results.
But that's what is great about a car like this , I used what I could from the parts stash that came with the car . In reality I had to buy very few parts to complete the car .
I've sold a lot of the left over parts to guys that needed them for their restorations. My goal was to try to keep the car as it would have been in the early 70's , which I think I achieved. Hope to see you at Hunt Valley . Mike

Forgot these photos of when my Corvette shared garage space , not a Chevy but they played well together .
1970 Mustang Boss 302 , has since moved on to make space for the next project .
