Default Inner fender rock protection...

What are you guys using for body/paint protection over the front tires on your corvettes? The paint right now is mint and would like to keep it that way when it hits the road. Thanks

Since my car is somewhat incorrect, I sprayed the inner panels flat black and have driven on with zero concern. I respray them about every five years or 15K miles. Dennis

I asked a similar question a few weeks ago. it seems a lot of people will tell you to use Raptor bed liner or something like that. I like Raptor bed liner. But I think a rubberized coating like 3M undercoating would be best, although I have not heard much about the long term durability...it's from a spray can like an aerosol

Thanks Jack I'll check those two out. I did a search on here but got a bunch of random results. Spider cracks are the devils work

Originally factory finish was an asphaltic undercoating material then blacked out with flat black paint. It did a good job absorbing rock/debris impacts as evidenced by the good condition of my 50+ old wells that saw many miles on gravel roads. Recently redid mine with 3M Professional Rubberized Undercoating (believe it was recommended in CF Archives search) which is probably a far superior product than the original factory’s product. Cleaned surface well and made sure it was DRY. Product went on easy and definitely resembles the factory product. Sprayed flat black paint right over undercoating for the final finish.

Looks like the 3m product is trending
