Default Picture Of POA Valve

Need some help, anyone have a close up picture of the POA valve, in place on a 1967 big block with factory air? I had my A/C worked on last year and I think the shop put my POA valve on facing the wrong direction, if that's possible. I had to get a buddy to make a 90 degree fitting in order to refill my system with R-12.

I'm getting a new POA Valve, this one has been gutted, and I want to be sure and get the correct factory type.

Here's a couple of pictures of the direction my valve is facing. The fittings are facing the firewall..

Thanks

Randy:

The correct POA for your car is DELCO #15-51.........also known as GM #5910593.

There are three POA types, each having slightly different orientations for the fittings. They are typically referred to as "A", "B", "C". I will have to look on Ebay to tell you which one of these is the correct type for your car, but I believe it is "B". I will confirm in a few minutes for you.

But the DELCO and GM part numbers I provided above are the correct part numbers for your car. Use these numbers to get the correct one.

Larry

EDIT: "B" type is correct. You don't see these letters used except on Ebay...............by PaceCarJeff and a few others...........so they really don't matter to most of us.v

Thanks Larry, I emailed PaceCarJeff and he said the "B' type is the correct one. I'll order it soon. It'll be summer before we know it.

Your expansion valve looks like a replacement as well. Hard to find originals.
