Paying it forward - headlight motor gears
Not a "for sale", but if the mods want to move this, that's OK with me.
I recently rebuilt 4 headlight motors, 2 to sell and 2 for my '64. I elected to buy new gears for them. I know some guys will rotate the old gear 180 degrees, thereby using the good teeth on the opposite side. Here's the good and the bad sides of these gears.
I'll pay them forward, no charge, 2 gears each to the first two takers. May take me a couple days to get them shipped.

Hello Don I would be interested in your very generous offer. They are better than mine.
Thanks

One '64 owner to the other, may I take you up on your generous offer? I too rebuilt mine a couple of months ago and am going to have to go back in and replace the gear on at least one of them. All of yours look better than mine. Thanks!

Its great if somebody can put used originals to good use...
For those that can't find any, I'll just say that the repro gears in the past few years are excellent - no more of the "fitting" issues at all; I have two sets of motors running with the repro gears and they bench test perfectly..

You are quite welcome, guys, glad to help. I have been the beneficiary of forum generosity myself a few times. A few years back I went to pick up something posted as free on here, and came away with my pickup LOADED with parts the guy refused to take a nickel for. (and some of those parts will be used on my '64). We all share the goal of seeing these cars working well and being enjoyed so I'm happy to see those gears going to good use.
