Engine - (7.0L) 427 CID / 435 HP Turbo Jet with Triple Double Barrel Downdraft Carburettors (Tri-Carb)
Transmission - Muncie 4spd Manual
1 of 3463 finished in Marlboro Maroon
Trim - Black Vinyl Trim, Centrally located Hand-Brake
Extensively documented matching numbers - Chassis Vin: 194677S121788
Courcours D"Elegance Award Winner
Documents - History of all receipted work, original purchase receipts, photographs, owner's manuals, Factory Build Sheet, Protecto Plate

Asking price is just under USD $80,000 and offers considered - additional costs include repatriation Stateside

These are the only photo's available so far, I would expect the underside condition to be similar to the topside

I would be buying this car sight unseen, apart from relying on a professional vehicle inspection to confirm the usual standard condition.

My query : would this represent value, and apart from general condition, what should I specifically look for in this model ?

What are your plans for the car: investment or drive and enjoy?

I purchased a C2 out of a collection and while it appeared in excellent condition, the brakes, and fuel system needed rebuilding due to lack of use.

From the pictures: The car sits higher in the front than the back and the front rt bumper is not level - I would think a concurs level car would be perfect

Investment Value = Market Resale Price - (80K + Known and Unknown Repairs+Repatriation+Inspection+tax/title)

Personal Value = Priceless!

You better make sure that is a legitimate sale. Does it still have its original engine? If so you better run to the bank and get the cash. Sounds like a hoax for that money.

Hi Don - No hoax and it is a legitimate sale, vendor is a Museum whose ambassador is Ex F1 World Champ Allan Jones, in addition to this car they have a 1969 C3 convertible L89 427 Tri-Carb too and is matching numbers, which is very tempting, but it's an auto. - and yes Don, the car appears "cheap", that's what caught my eye initially, that and condition, seemed like good value. - verifying original engine is certainly top of list - appreciate your input - GV

Hi Phil - Thanks for the input; plans are to drive, been through the "collector" phase, sold off the muscle car collection awhile ago, nice to admire, pain to maintain and garage - I did think this car might be sitting a little high at the front - compared to the red 66 below - the right front bumper, didn't notice that at first, it certainly appears wonky when viewed on an angle, not so much when viewed straight on though, will keep your observation in mind. - appreciate your advices - GV

Pics are photoshopped to death. No pics of engine stamp or trim or vin. As it sits , from what it says, its 100k PLUS car all day long UNTIL you see it in real life. There is a 7.5 auction fee, transport it here will be 2/3k. I would hire the best inspector you can find, at 80k if its the real deal, you wont mind spending the money. get past the fluff of the description and photo shopped pictures this car needs a professional inspection. starting price of a auction is not a good starting point of real world value. if all the paper work checks out as real, the stamp pad is real this car should be well into the 200's

A nice one that yr under 100k isnt so bad regardless of a # stamp

A concours-level 327/350 '67 convertible can cost $80K. It is extremely unlikely that a similar 427/435 would cost the same.

Gents; I think this thread may have "lost its' way" - yes I'm aware the "tyranny of distance" presents some challenges,

In overcoming some of the challenges I was hoping to secure your learned counsel as to identifying features that are "particular" in identifying a BB 427 / 435 1967 Roadster.

there are many things that identify a BB 67. first you look at the vin and make sure it is a 67. then you need to look at the engine. but there have been MANY many books, and bandwidth space dedicated to this topic.

Under the car you should see a rear sway bar, differential half shaft caps with bolts (NOT u bolts) and the fuel line from the tank to the front of the car will terminate at the fuel pump with a 90 degree bend.
