These are HRE 300 series matte black center gloss black deep dish lip. I was thinking maybe chrome connecting bolts and a red accent trim around the outer lip. I'm trying to pick something complementary to the look of the car in Chris' avatar....black coupe with factory chrome brightwork but I'm going with similar side pipes as the EVODs. Thoughts? MIght be too much black and maybe need to go with something more base sliver / chrome like the black vert wheels above.

Just my opinion, but......
A black car with black wheels is too much.

Be very careful with your decision.

Yes I think your right Rich. Better stick with chrome, brushed, or matte silver tones. I’m not really a fan of traditional five spokes or torque twists. Maybe I’m working the process of elimination as much as inclusion.

Keep throwing out options guys!

It is a generational thing, look at all the new cars that are all black. Chrome wheels seem to be out, even on new Corvettes.

I agree...chrome has been out on new/ /newer cars for well over a decade. However, this is a 56 year old car and something sliver might look more consistent with the looks and accents of the car. I posted that black coupe above that Chris built about 5-6 years ago as this is what mine will look like on the exterior, with polished / chrome brightwork. I'm not doing flush mounted front and rear windows, blacked out bumpers, etc and so it is look pretty traditional other than the bumpers will be tucked tight to the body but still chrome. Polished factory C2 sidepipe covers on the sides as opposed to rear exit exhaust. We're doing a high HP engine (755 HP LT5 is what we are considering now) with a 6 speed and bright red custom interior - not that that matters to the wheels. The chassis is the new Art Morrison 3" drop chassis with minitubs and so it will be dropped and tucked from a stance perspective. Hope that helps a bit.

Not that it matters but these get my vote.

I just might replace my Billet Specialties

I agree with Black Magic. Just simple and clean. The wheels and chrome trim work well together. Having said that, I also like the HR’s.

Obviously not a Corvette, but it is black, and I like the wheels. Has been a photo I have been saving for my '69 Camaro project.....

I ordered those wheels from Boze Forged as well. I had never heard of them until my friend Greg that painted the car told me about them. Really nice father and son team running a small business in California together. Some people made fun of them and said they looked like Nissan wheels(the world of Facebook), but I loved them.

I really like these. Do you know who makes these?

Decided I don't really like basic five spokes and while the EVODs look nice and were intriguing, I'm now leaning toward something like this or the wheels on Chris's black vert - the Boze Alloys Clutch. I like something like this or a double five spoke type look. The one below I like is the Strausse SM5R signature.

I think these would look great. Probably about $10,000. I was thinking of a set of HRE's for my 458 Spider but was more than I wanted to spend.

No, the clutch wheels were the version on my 67 convertible. I think the ones I used on the 63 were called tractions. Unfortunately, after getting married, a dog, two kids, and 6 builds, I just don't remember without looking back at the receipts! I am sure Zak at Boze knows! Give him a ring if you can't find them in my previous thread or online.

Hi there, I’ve been looking for some new wheels for my 64 coupe. It currently has 17” Boyd Coddington rims that are too modern looking for my taste. So are the TTO’s you posted complete with the spinners, or are they optional? Love that combination and thanks for sharing.

Looks like the wheels on the '69 Camaro are HRE's. Not sure what model.
