From a January 1974 Hemings, when I get a chance I’ll post a few more adds

OMG - those tail fins. I’d almost managed to forget what they looked like.

Any time you see a price that low, it's got to be a scam!

OR

"Hi, I'm new to the forum. I'm looking for my grandfather's Corvette. All I know is it was silver, and he sold it in Massachusetts about 45 years ago. How do I find the car?"

I would say so. You couldn't give away a big-block anything once the gas prices tripled in 1973, from 33 cents to 99 cents in L.A.

Default 1974 adds from Hemmings

All the adds are interesting but the Vette adds are real neat.

$4,250 was a bit high back then! I started looking for my first C2 a year or so later and prices ranged from $3,000 to $4,500, after all they were just ten year old used cars. I got mine for $4,000, all original no-hit L79 with factory air.

It’s cheap because the black leather wasn’t offered in ‘63. Incorrect!
