Vintage Air and Rochester FI - mounting together
OK, are there any tricks or special brackets needed to mount the Sanden Vintage Air compressor system to a C2 small block with Rochester Fuel Injection?
It almost looks like the compressor has to be mounted more towards the passenger side of the engine that it normally would?
Yes ? No?

Does anyone have a 63-65 Rochester FI unit AND a Vintage Air system on their car?
That is the combination that I am considering, but I will not be using a factory style 63-65 FI air cleaner assembly.
The alternator has been moved to the driver's side of the engine.

My silver 63 has both Rochester FI and Vintage Air. I also used Vintage Air’s serpentine system. The only issue was that I had to reduce the crank pulley diameter to clear the frame.
It it runs great and stays cool in the hottest weather. I also took off the belt driven fan and used a Dewitt puller fan.

I did finally figure out that I need to put the original 902 exhaust manifold back on the engine. The Vintage Air kit uses the original alternator mounting bosses on the exhaust manifold, and easily clears the FI unit, etc.

I put Vintage Air in my 65 FI car about 9 years ago. Needed brackets that got the compressor and alternator in tighter so the air cleaner would fit and make it look right. It can be done.
