Went to move the car today for the first time after restoration for a shake down and I have no reverse. This is a Powerglide Transmission that was rebuilt during restoration. I does move in Drive. Any ideas? Just hope I don’t have to take the transmission back out. I did a search didn’t really come up with anything. Hope someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks

Low fluid level?

Fluid level is at the mark.

Nuts, I was hoping that because the car was just put together that there was problem with the level. My powerglide had a pretty good leak and I would know it was time to re-fill when reverse would stop working. I think it has to do with the plumbing and extra fluid is required to engage the reverse gear set. I hope that it turns out to be something simple for you.
